During July of 2008, I spent a stretch of time in Paris. The latter part of my stay I relocated to a hotel overlooking the Sorbonne and positioned near the courtyard that leads up to this entrance. In this courtyard, there are a number of interesting bookstores and a selection of cafes. I happened to chose one of these cafes as my usual abode in which I ate several meals and did some reading. When, on one evening, an overlapping travel schedule allowed my wife to join me, we returned to my friends at this cafe. With great charm, they welcomed us and made an appropriate fuss about my bringing my wife for dinner. We had a spectacular meal and the entire evening showcased Paris at its best.
